BlogFest Organizers

 


CHAK SOPHEAP, a prominent blogger in Cambodia, attends a number of blog events in Asia and elsewhere. She mobilizes young activists around the country in civic engagement through the Cambodian Youth Network for Change. She holds a graduate degree in Peace Studies from the International University of Japan. She is a contributing author for Global Voice Online, UPI Asia Online, and Furutre Challenges while working as Program Director of the Cambodian Center for Human Rights. Her blog is www.sopheapfocus.com.


KEO KOUNILA has worked as a freelance writer and new media consultant for local and international news organizations as the Agence France Presse, asia360news.com, etc. She has attended traditional and new media conferences and found herself inspired by positive impact of blogging on the young generations. She has trained young Cambodians how to use blog and social media. When she doesn’t write, she blogs at http://www.blueladyblog.com. As an community event organizer, she helped organize FilmCampKH and some film-related events for Kon Khmer Koun Khmer, a film group she’s co-founded with friends. She also manages www.aseanreporters.wordpress.com. RAMANA SORN is working with CCHR as a project coordinator, Ramana had experience working with both NGO and private sectors. Beside her full time working experience she is a guest translator for Global Voice Lingua Team which she has to translate the news articles from English to Khmer.

She hold a bachelor degree majoring in International Relations from University of Cambodia and another bachelor degree majoring in Finance and Banking from National University of Management.


A prolific blogger since 2004, Tharum Bun is currently a web consultant. He makes beautiful website/weblog for small businesses and individuals. His works include Asian Correspondent, The Phnom Penh Post and Voice of America.

In 2008, he initiated the very first tech conference BarCamp Phnom Penh, which has now become the regular meeting of Cambodian tech enthusiasts.


ANIRUDH BHATI is currently a legal consultant in Cambodia and graduated from a law school with specialization in telecom. He owns http://anirudhbhati.com. When he doesn’t work, he edits Wikipedia.
